Genetic Soil Types of Hungary
A mysterious scan of this map lies largely unnoticed on the internet. We stumbled upon it just a few weeks ago and found surprisingly little information about it. The map, with its stunning cavalcade of colours, was created in the 1980s by Dénes Kerényi. It presents a high-resolution overview of soil types within Hungary, as mapped by the Institute for Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
The editors credited on the map are Dr. György Várallyay, Dr. László Szűcs, Attila Murányi, Dr. Kálmán Rajkai, and Dr. Péter Zilahy.
